CSS grid lanes are arriving sooner than you think

Jen Simmons says the finalized syntax is already in Safari Technology Preview, and Chrome with Firefox are close behind. You can ship masonry-style layouts now with progressive enhancement using @supports, plus a JS polyfill or a CSS grid layout fallback.
