CSSWG settled the long-standing debate about whether interactive elements other than links should get cursor: pointer. They should. In form controls with appearance: base, buttons, <select>, options, checkboxes, radios, and color pickers get pointer, range sliders get grab, disabled controls get not-allowed, and read-only ones get default. The logic: pointer means “click this”.
